Job Summary
As the Factory Operations Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across production, engineering, maintenance, utilities, facilities, quality, HSE, and continuous improvement to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective factory operations.
Responsibilities
• Lead production planning, scheduling, resource allocation, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement to achieve output and efficiency targets.
• Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, equipment reliability, breakdowns, spare parts, budgets, installations, upgrades, and automation projects.
• Oversee factory facilities, utilities, infrastructure, contractors, vendors, maintenance, expansions, renovations, and workflow optimization.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality, regulatory, audit, traceability, and documentation requirements.
• Drive HSE compliance, safety culture, accident investigations, PPE, machine safety, hygiene, environmental controls, and zero lost-time incidents.
• Manage budgets, manufacturing costs, CAPEX, investment proposals, operational reporting, and lead production, maintenance, engineering, utilities, and facilities teams through performance management, training, succession planning, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 15 years manufacturing experience, preferably in FMCG or food processing, with at least 5 years in a senior Operations, Plant Management, or Manufacturing leadership role
• MBA or postgraduate qualification in Operations Management is an advantage
• Professional certifications in Maintenance, Project Management, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or HSE are desirable
• Strong expertise in factory operations, production planning, maintenance, facilities, food safety, budgeting, cost control, project management, KPI management, regulatory compliance, leadership, and decision-making
